All families and staff in the Franklin Public School (FPS) district have been informed about the latest newsletter detailing various community and district events, updates, and announcements.

In a note from Annalee Bennin, an expression of gratitude was extended to the district’s staff. Several key dates are highlighted in the newsletter, including After School Professionals Week from April 21-25, Principal Appreciation Day on May 1st, and School Lunch Hero Day on May 2nd. May is also recognized as Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month and National Speech-Language-Hearing Month. The district encourages wearing green and grey on Mondays in May to promote mental health and illness awareness.

In district-specific updates, a Holocaust survivor shared stories with FPMS 7th graders, and the district hosted a Saber Business Partner Breakfast. Additional events include UW Milwaukee Panthers Baseball & TMJ4 Weather Day at Franklin Field, FHS Signing Day, and a 4K Family Event at Franklin Public Library. The district is also planning playgroups for three-year-olds in the 2025-26 period, with the deadline for initial signups by May 15th. Furthermore, a reminder is issued that library books are due to be returned.

The Saber Center for the Performing Arts has scheduled several concerts and honors nights, while the Community Ed & Rec department has opened registration for summer activities, as shared in their monthly newsletter.

The Franklin Educational Foundation (FEF) reports the success of a recent Spring Pickleball Tournament and encourages participation in their upcoming Tee-Up Golf Outing on June 13th.

Finally, updates from the Board of Education include the latest board briefs from April 23rd, 2025, and a reminder about the next board meeting on May 7th, 2025.

Further opportunities for employment with FPS and other community events are announced, inviting interested parties to find more information in the full newsletter.
