The Franklin Public Schools (FPS) District has released its latest newsletter, providing updates and information for families and staff. The newsletter includes a message from Annalee Bennin, expressing gratitude to the Franklin community: "Thank You, Franklin!"

Highlighted in this edition are several important dates and events. School Psychologists Week is being observed, and the Franklin High School (FHS) play "Almost, Maine" is scheduled for this weekend.

In district news, FHS has been named to the 2024 AP School Honor Roll. The school also recently honored Veterans Day and held a pre-drywall gathering for its Construction II class. Additionally, the FHS Quarter 1 Saber Pride Winner was announced.

Students have access to on-site therapy clinics, and assistance is available through Aurora for both students and the Franklin community.

The Saber Center for the Performing Arts will host "The Founding - A Celtic Christmas" on Wednesday, December 11 at 7 p.m., along with other upcoming events.

Community Education & Recreation announced that the Winter Rec Guide will be available soon. Registration opened on December 3rd for Franklin residents.

The Franklin Educational Foundation received a grant donation from the Franklin Lions Club.

Board of Education updates include recognizing Gerald Young as a Friend of Franklin. Board briefs from November 13 were shared, with the next meeting scheduled for December 11.

Announcements encourage individuals to consider becoming substitutes in FPS or exploring other employment opportunities within the district. Community events and flyers are also featured in this week's newsletter.
