The Oak Creek-Franklin community has expressed gratitude for the support shown in favor of the November 5th pool referendum. The plan to construct a new aquatics facility marks an important milestone for the community, students, and families.
"Our 62-year-old pool has served us well," said Frank Carini, School Board President, and Dan Thielen, Superintendent. They added that the new facility reflects a collective vision of providing more aquatic opportunities for everyone.
The proposed facility will include both a warm water community pool and a competition pool. This development aims to meet various needs and activities benefiting students and the wider community. It promises expanded pool access, additional programming opportunities, and top-notch facilities adhering to WIAA standards.
As the project moves forward, regular progress updates will be provided as designs are finalized and preliminary construction plans are outlined. Updates will be shared on the website at www.ocfsd.org/pool.
"We appreciate your ongoing support and engagement," stated Carini and Thielen. "Together, we are making a lasting contribution to the health and fitness of our community."
