Residents and businesses affected by storms and flooding between August 9 and 12 in Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Washington Counties may be eligible for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA announced that these federal disaster loans are available to support recovery efforts.
According to the SBA, “Federal disaster loans are available to help with recovery. These loans are separate from FEMA disaster assistance and can provide:
Home Disaster Loans – For homeowners and renters to repair or replace damaged property.
Business Physical Disaster Loans – For businesses and nonprofits to repair or replace buildings, equipment, and inventory.
Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) – Working capital for small businesses and nonprofits that lost income due to the storms.”
Eligibility for physical damage and economic injury loans extends to residents and businesses in Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Washington Counties. Businesses located in Dodge, Fond du Lac, Jefferson, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, and Walworth Counties may apply for economic injury loans only.
