The City of Greenfield has announced updates regarding waste collection and flood debris disposal following the recent flooding. According to city officials, most flood-related debris collection has been completed by city crews working with John’s Disposal. Some areas will still see limited collections as recovery continues.
Starting August 25, 2025, regular garbage and recycling cart collections will continue as scheduled. Residents can find more information on these services at www.ci.greenfield.wi.us/268/Garbage-and-Recycling-Services. For those needing additional flood-related debris pickup, the Department of Public Works (DPW) can be contacted at 414-761-5374 to arrange for curbside collection.
A schedule change is planned for Labor Day on September 1, 2025; all waste collections will be delayed by one day that week, with Monday routes moved to Tuesday and subsequent routes also pushed back a day.
Yard waste pick-up has resumed according to regular schedules. More details are available at www.ci.greenfield.wi.us/272/Seasonal-Services.
The Drop-Off Center will revert to standard hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and Saturdays from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Residents must bring their Drop Off Center Key Card for access. Information about the center is posted at www.ci.greenfield.wi.us/273/Drop-Off-Center.
