On July 9, 2025, the Oak Creek-Franklin community gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new pool facility. District leaders, design partners, city officials, and community members participated in marking the start of this project on the high school campus.

The new aquatics center will include two pools: a community pool and a competition pool. The facility is designed to cater to various needs such as swim lessons, fitness programming, recreational swimming, and competitive meets.

"This investment in health, wellness, and community connection would not be possible without your support," stated School Board and Superintendent Thielen. "Thank you for helping us bring this exciting vision to life!"

Involved parties included OCFSD Administrators and Nexus Solutions, High School Administrators & Swim Coach Joe Schoen, Splash Squad Members, City and County Officials & Park and Rec Commission Members.
