The Village of Hales Corners in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, has announced the schedule for its Board of Review and Open Book sessions. The Board of Review will convene on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Village Hall located at 5635 S New Berlin Rd.

The Assessment Roll for the year 2025 will be open for public examination during an Open Book meeting scheduled for Monday, June 9, 2025. This session will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., but attendance is restricted to phone calls or virtual appointments only. Appointments can be made by contacting Associated Appraisal Consultants, Inc., the appraiser for the Village of Hales Corners, at (920) 749-1995.

Property owners with questions about their assessments are encouraged to meet with the assessor during this time. Instructional materials detailing assessment procedures and how to file objections will be available.

Specific procedural requirements must be followed by individuals wishing to appear before the Board of Review. These include restrictions on contacting board members outside official sessions and providing notice at least 48 hours prior if planning to contest an assessment or request removal under certain statutes.

Those appearing before the board must submit written estimates of land value and improvements along with supporting information used in their valuation calculations. If using income methods for valuation objections, all relevant income and expense information as specified by the assessor's manual must be provided.

Confidentiality regarding income and expense information submitted is protected under village ordinance except where legal duties require disclosure.

This announcement was submitted by Sandra M. Kulik, Village Clerk, on May 28, 2025.
