The City of St. Francis has reiterated its stance on the "No Mow May" initiative, clarifying that it does not participate in the movement. According to City Code Section 351-6(F)(2)(a), residents are required to maintain their lawns with grass not exceeding a height of nine inches unless they have obtained a permit for a natural lawn from the Planning Commission under § 351-6F(3) of the Code.

"No Mow May" is an initiative aimed at promoting biodiversity and supporting pollinators by allowing grass to grow freely during the month of May. However, St. Francis's regulations require residents to adhere to specific lawn maintenance standards.
