On February 19, 2025, Steil extended his congratulations to Camden Alioto from Bristol for his appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. He mentioned that he was able to personally congratulate Alioto in between meetings while traveling. The following day, February 20, 2025, Steil highlighted KANDU Industries in Milton as an essential provider of opportunities for individuals with disabilities. He announced his request to President Trump to block a rule from the Biden administration that he believes could negatively impact KANDU and similar organizations. "KANDU Industries in Milton provides critical opportunities for individuals with disabilities. I've asked President Trump to block a harmful Biden-era rule that would hurt KANDU and other groups that provide opportunities to adults with disabilities."
On February 21, 2025, Steil discussed the significance of manufacturing jobs in Wisconsin, noting that they account for over 475,000 positions in the state. He expressed gratitude for a tour of Milwaukee Tool and praised Wisconsin's manufacturing sector as one of the best globally. "Manufacturing accounts for more than 475,000 jobs here in Wisconsin.
