Temporary speed bumps and speed trailers were installed on October 1st at two locations along Northway, near the intersections with Basswood and Arrowwood. The installation was funded through a Safer Streets For All grant. The goal is to monitor the effectiveness of the speed bumps in reducing speeds and enhancing pedestrian safety. The temporary installations will remain for about 30 days.

The demonstration aims to determine if permanent speed bumps are warranted at these locations.

This project is part of the Village's ongoing efforts to enhance pedestrian safety in Greendale and coincides with National Pedestrian Safety Month in October.
