Joe Tamm Treasurer | Greater Greenfield Community Chamber
The Greater Greenfield Community Chamber (GGCC) has announced the appointment of John Anderson as its new Membership Director. Anderson, who brings over 30 years of banking and finance experience, is expected to drive the Chamber’s growth and engagement.
As the founder of Anderson Advisory Services, Anderson has a background in guiding individuals and businesses with their strategies and process improvements. He expressed his enthusiasm for his new role by stating, “I am very proud of what we [GGCC] are today, and very optimistic about where we are going.”
Anderson believes that GGCC is "on the precipice of going to the next step, becoming a great Chamber." He emphasizes that success relies on team efforts and encourages members to focus on helping each other rather than just selling their services. “Business-to-business connecting is one of the biggest values the GGCC can offer its members and the community,” he said.
Highlighting the importance of welcoming behavior and willingness to learn, Anderson remarked, “People who make you feel welcome, people who are not afraid of calling others on the phone, and those who are willing to learn” will help GGCC become a great Chamber. He added, “My number one strength is I am a learner,” urging members to “learn more about each other and help each other.”
Anderson also sees himself as a connector. Ten years ago, he launched MBCNetworking Group where professionals gather biweekly to exchange ideas and share insights. This aligns with his vision for GGCC.
Reflecting on networking practices at professional meetups, Anderson noted that some behaviors are counterproductive. He prefers introducing himself to many people and asking if he can follow up with a call. “How about if I give you a call?” he suggests as an effective networking approach.
Describing GGCC as “friendly, fun, and growing,” Anderson supports in-person meetings over virtual ones for building stronger teams. Additionally, unlike many who fear public speaking, he enjoys impromptu speaking engagements.
For those interested in connecting with him further, Anderson can be reached via email at John_r.anderson@outlook.com or by phone at (262) 327-0766. He also invites community members to attend his Milwaukee Breakfast Club meetups.
