City Of Oak Creek recently issued the following announcement.

Oak Creek Community Cleanup

The annual Oak Creek Community Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 9 a.m. until noon.  This is a great chance to get outside, do some good, and interact with other residents of our community!

This year, we have three sites for volunteers to choose from!

Site 1:  Oak Creek Civic Center/Drexel Town Square

Volunteers should meet inside the Oak Creek Civic Center to receive supplies and instructions. We plan to clean up the area surrounding the Civic Center in Drexel Town Square. Please dress for the weather and bring work gloves if you have them. All ages welcome! This location’s cleanup event will happen rain or shine.

Site 2:  Bender Park Beach

The Oak Creek Health Department is hosting a beach cleanup at Bender Park.  Volunteers should meet in front of the Pavilion to pick up materials.  In case of rain, this location’s event will be pushed to Saturday, April 30.

Site 3:  The Oak Creek Historical Society Grounds

The Oak Creek Historical Society is hosting a Day of Caring, a community-wide effort that brings together volunteers and local businesses to provide short term, project-focused volunteer service with non-profit and public organizations. They are looking for 10 or more volunteers to help weed and clean up old plantings around each of our buildings in preparation for new mulch and plantings. The Historical Society is located on the southeast corner of 15th Avenue and Forest Hill Avenue. Participants are asked to dress appropriately and to bring their own set of gardening gloves and tools.  In case of rain, this location’s event will be pushed to Saturday, April 30.

General Information:

Students: Volunteer service hour forms will be available!

For planning purposes, we encourage all volunteers to sign-up in advance! Thank you!
