On November 17, 2024, Steil expressed pride in nominating Wisconsin students for service at U.S. Service Academies. He stated that “It is an honor to nominate Wisconsin students to serve our nation at a U.S. Service Academy.” The process emphasizes character, leadership, and academic achievements among high school students eager to serve the country. He noted his appreciation for meeting this year’s applicants “here”.

In another post dated November 18, 2024, Steil addressed the influence of foreign-owned proxy advisors ISS and Glass Lewis on U.S. companies regarding ESG policies. He remarked that these policies harm retirement savings, workers, and the economy: “Foreign-owned proxy advisors ISS and Glass Lewis have been pushing U.S. companies to adopt ESG policies.” To counter this trend, he introduced the Protecting Americans’ Retirement Savings from Politics Act “here”.

On the same day, Steil voiced support for Sean Duffy’s nomination as Secretary of Transportation. He described Duffy as “a great choice for Wisconsin and for our country,” expressing eagerness to collaborate in Washington “here”.
