Bryan Steil, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 1st district since 2019, has recently shared several updates on his social media platform. His posts reflect his involvement in electoral integrity, legislative efforts to reduce federal regulations, and support for key nominations within the U.S. government.

On December 4, 2024, Steil highlighted the role of Congressional Election Observers in ensuring the “integrity and transparency” of the electoral process. He expressed gratitude towards the staff who volunteered their time for this initiative. “Congressional Election Observers worked to reinforce the integrity and transparency of our electoral process. I am grateful to all the staff who have volunteered their time to participate in this program.”

Two days later, on December 6, 2024, Steil addressed federal regulations that he perceives as “unnecessary and burdensome,” stating they increase costs for American families and complicate workers’ tasks. He announced his leadership role in advancing the Prove It Act through the House to counteract potential executive overreach. “Unnecessary and burdensome federal regulations raise costs for American families and make it harder for workers to do their jobs. I’m proud to have helped lead the Prove It Act through the House to prevent future executive overreach.”

Later that day, Steil congratulated Rodney Scott on his nomination as commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). He noted Scott’s participation at a town hall meeting in Kenosha earlier this year where they discussed border-related issues affecting communities. Steil endorsed Scott as “the right man for the job.” “Congratulations to @rodneyscottbp for his nomination as the commissioner of US Customs and Border Protection…Rodney is the right man for the job!”
